Angelo Veschetti

Financial Adviser (Authorised Representative 434774)

I was born on the Tablelands and, after a 15-year career as an Army logistics officer, I began advising clients in 2005 in a small firm (Donnelly Money Management) in Melbourne. I did my apprenticeship in the big smoke and then moved back to the region with small kids in 2009. I was a stay-at-home-dad for a few years while working part time as an adviser and an ARES officer.

I have a Masters in Financial Planning and am a Certified Financial Planner member of the FPA. I love dispelling the many hyper myths for clients and then coaching them through life.

I live in Yungaburra with my wife, Tiffany, and my young kids. Like other regional professionals, Tiffany and I are very active in our community, including P&C, Junior Soccer and supporting other organisations and charities.

Nadia Coffey

Associate Financial Adviser (Authorised Representative 1269211)

I was born and raised on the Tablelands and have a lot of knowledge of the local area. In 2022 I married my husband, and we purchased our own piece of paradise in Mareeba.

I was previously licensed as an adviser in late 2018, however I took a few steps back when I joined the VCFA team in 2020 to learn the ins and outs of the business by starting at the front desk working in administration. I became licenced again in 2021 and have enjoyed getting back to my passion of advising.

I have a Masters in Financial Planning and am a Commissioner for Declarations and am happy to help the community in this capacity when needed.

I am a lover of animals and enjoy the outdoors, camping and spending time with friends and family.

James Crompton

Head of Strategy and Research

I started my practice in Atherton in 1989 after a career in banking. I am a Commissioner for Declarations.

I completed further studies in self-managed superannuation funds, risk insurance planning, understanding financial markets, superannuation and wealth protection.

I love nothing more than making the complex simple for my clients, which I believe has driven my success.

Libby Masasso

Client Services Manager

I grew up in a small town in South East Queensland, studied Business at USQ in Toowoomba, and started my career working for state government in Brisbane.  I moved to the Tablelands in 2006, opting for a quieter change in life.

I joined the VCFA team in 2021 and have plunged head first into an industry that is new and exciting to me.  Bringing with me a wealth of administrative and managerial experience, I am enjoying getting to know our clients and being able to help them out in anyway that I can.  Having aging parents, I can understand the financial complexities facing our aging population and difficulties they have with current technologies.

I obtained my Commissioner for Declarations certification at the end of 2022, and am happy to assist people in this regard as needed.  I look forward to developing my skills in the finance industry.

I have since transitioned into my current role as Paraplanner after gaining the work experience on the job, and the qualifications through my Diploma of Financial Planning. I am currently studying a Grad Dip of Financial Planning and am enjoying the extra knowledge I am gaining to further enhance the technical solutions we can provide to those in our community.

I grew up in Brisbane and my family moved to the Tablelands when I was 13 and I have stayed here ever since. I am passionate about travelling and have been to many places across Australia and overseas, with many more trips planned in the future.

Kerrielee Mather

Administration Manager

I grew up on the Atherton Tablelands.  I joined the firm in 2006 and have a varied role ranging from preparing client portfolio reviews to bookkeeping and supporting other staff members.

While I don’t spend much time in front of clients, I know my contribution is valued given the fact we have so many long-term clients.

My husband, Kerry, and I, also own and operated Kerry Mather Plumbing for many years, and many of the skills I’ve learned running our business have certainly translated into extra help for the firm’s clients over the years.

Kerry and I have two grown daughters, both out of the nest. I have also been actively involved in the community, volunteering with Atherton Girl Guides since 1995. My free time is usually spent camping, gardening and I always have many projects that I’m working on in my sewing room.

Client Services

I was born in Clermont, Central Queensland and moved to the Tablelands several years ago. I have recently joined the VCFA team at the front desk. I previously worked at the Tolga Newsagents (since I was 14) and did a bit of ringing and fencing around the place.

I am very community orientated being involved in many community groups. I was the 2019 Cairns Showgirl and only finished with my role late 2021 when I went to Brisbane to compete in the Queensland Country Life Showgirl State Finals.

I have also been involved with the Atherton Show Society for many years; if you’re ever at the show you’ll find me either in the stud cattle ring or the cattle sheds! I love meeting our clients when they walk in and am learning lots about how real financial planning actually works to help people in our community.
